The Burr Theatre opened its doors in 2000, with the first production
staged
at the historic Columbia Theatre in 50 years.
Massey
Theatre

Massey Theatre opened in 1949 as British Columbia's largest theatre.
Since then its lights have shone on Broadway touring companies and
international stars of dance and music. Today, Massey Theatre proudly
hosts professional orchestras like the Vancouver Symphony, stars like
singing sensation Jewel, and stunning productions like Hello Dolly,
South Pacific, 42nd Street and The King and I have drawn rave reviews
and standing ovations by the Renowned Royal City Musical Theatre.
The Massey Theatre boasts production workshops, a full-size stage, an
audience chamber of 1260 seats and a visual arts gallery. It is located
in the geographic centre of the Greater Vancouver area and adjacent to
BC's largest high school, the 2000 student campus of New Westminster
Secondary School.
Community groups, Competitions, Festivals, student performances and
performers of culturally diverse communities are among the over 200
events presented at Massey each season.

The Bernie Legge Theatre
Queens Park
This historic theatre, formerly known as the Vagabond Playhouse, is the
home of the award-winning Vagabond Players, the city’s oldest theatre
group. Known for producing top-quality shows, they feature four a year,
including comedy, drama, mystery, musicals and special shows for
children at Christmas. Any seat in this cozy quaint theatre is a great
seat, as the theatre is small enough to evoke the days of small-town
yesteryear. Nestled among the tall cedars in a quiet corner of Queens
Park, it’s the perfect spot for an intimate evening in a romantic
setting.

Douglas College Performing Arts Theatre

You’ll also find musical and theatre events at the city’s third
theatre - Douglas College's Performing Arts Theatre. The College’s
Performing Arts Department puts on a variety of events, ranging from
jazz to classical to theatrical productions. Check out the free weekly
